Precision rings work on almost any controller, so why buy a set per console? FPSgrip Universal Aim Rings give you three hardness levels in one pack, for the PS5, Xbox, PS4, Xbox One and Switch controllers in your home. Each ring sits around the base of the thumbstick and adds resistance. Small aim corrections become calmer and you overshoot less, without making the stick any taller.

What's in the pack

  • 6 precision rings, 2 of each hardness
  • 2x Easy: light resistance, the best place to start
  • 2x Soft: balanced, where most players end up
  • 2x Hard: maximum control, for sniping at high sensitivity
  • No extra stick height

Fits the PS5 DualSense and DualSense Edge, the PS4 DualShock 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, the Xbox Elite controller, the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller and the Joy-Con.

Which precision rings: Easy, Soft or Hard?

Start with Easy and move up to Soft once you are used to the extra resistance. Most players stop there. Hard is for snipers who play at high sensitivity and want the most control. Because you get two of each, you can give up to three controllers their own hardness: Easy on the Switch Pro Controller, Soft on the DualSense, Hard on the Xbox controller you snipe with.

One pack for every controller

Play on one console only? The PS5 Precision Rings and Xbox Precision Rings are the same rings, with a page about your controller. Everything is in the precision rings collection.

Precision rings and stick drift

Rings do not repair stick drift. Drift comes from wear inside the controller. With very mild drift, the extra resistance can make the stick feel steadier around the centre, which is as far as it goes. Our blog do precision rings prevent stick drift? explains when they help and when they do not.

Frequently asked questions

Do aim rings actually work?
They change how the stick feels, not how good your aim is. The ring adds resistance around the base of the stick, so at high sensitivity small corrections overshoot less. Think of it as more control, not extra aim.
Are aim rings worth it?
If your aim often runs past the target, yes. You get 6 rings in 3 hardnesses (Easy, Soft and Hard) for €8.95, which makes them one of the cheapest upgrades for your controller, and you can find out which hardness suits you.
Do they fit the Switch Pro Controller and Joy-Con?
Yes. One pack covers your Switch controllers as well as PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One controllers.
Can precision rings stop stick drift?
No, not on any controller. Whether it is a DualSense, an Xbox controller or a Joy-Con, drift is caused by wear inside the controller, and only a repair solves that. With very mild drift, the resistance can make the stick feel calmer around the centre. Read more in do precision rings prevent stick drift?
Which hardness should I choose?
Start with Easy. Play a few sessions with it, then try Soft. Most players stay on Soft. Hard is meant for sniping at high sensitivity.
More questions Fewer questions
Do precision rings affect aim assist?
No. Aim assist is built into the game, not the controller. The ring only adds physical resistance and does not change the input the stick sends, so aim assist works exactly as before.
Do they also fit a PS4 or Xbox One controller?
Yes, both the DualShock 4 and the Xbox One controller. That is exactly what the universal version is for.
Can I use a different hardness on each controller?
Yes. You get two rings of each hardness, so up to three controllers can each have their own. Not sure where to start? Easy first, then Soft. Hard is for sniping at high sensitivity.
What is the difference with the PS5 and Xbox Precision Rings?
None in the rings themselves. This pack is for homes with more than one console, or for players who use a Switch controller as well. Playing on a single console? Then the PS5 or Xbox page fits you better.
Will the rings slow down fast flicks?
No. Quick flicks still work. Small movements stay smooth, and the further you push, the more the ring pushes back, so the stick overshoots less.
Can precision rings damage the thumbstick?
No. The ring is made of soft foam that compresses as you push the stick, so it does not damage the stick or the controller in normal use. You slide it on and off by hand.
How fast is delivery?
Orders ship as letterbox post. Netherlands and Belgium: 1 to 2 business days. Germany and France: 2 to 4 business days. Free from €14.95, otherwise €1.95 in the Netherlands and €2.95 to Belgium, Germany and France.

Yes, within 30 days of delivery, unused and in the original packaging. Email info@fpsgrip.com and we will send you the instructions.
