Do thumb grips actually help your aim?
They help your grip, and that makes your aim more consistent. The textured top stops your thumb sliding off when your hands get warm, and your thumb lands in the same spot on the stick every time. They don't change your sensitivity, and they add barely any height.
Are thumb grips worth it?
For most players, yes. You get 8 caps for €8.95, enough for four controllers or for spares. They are also a cheap fix when the rubber on your sticks has worn smooth.
Do they fit the DualSense Edge?
Yes. They fit the standard DualSense, the DualSense Edge and the PS4 DualShock 4. On the Edge they go over whichever stick module you have fitted.
Will thumb grips stop stick drift?
No. Drift comes from wear inside the controller, not from the rubber on top. Thumb grips do protect the rubber, so your sticks stay grippy for longer. With very mild drift, Precision Rings can make the stick feel steadier around the centre, but they are not a repair. Our blog on PS5 controller drift explains what actually helps.
Do these change the height of my thumbsticks?
Barely. They sit over the stock stick and add about a millimetre. For real extra height, look at the PS5 FPS Extenders, which add roughly 40 percent.

Do thumb grips affect aim assist?
No. Aim assist is built into the game, not the controller. A cap changes how the stick feels, not the input it sends, so aim assist works exactly as before.
Are thumb grips allowed in ranked and tournaments?
In online play, including ranked, yes. They are passive caps that don't change what the controller sends to the console. For official tournaments, especially LAN events, always check the rulebook, because every organiser sets its own rules.
What is the difference with cheap thumb grips from the shop?
You get eight instead of two or four, with a clear texture on top. The silicone closes around the side of the stick instead of sitting loosely on top.
Do I need to replace my thumbsticks, or is a thumb grip enough?
If the rubber is only smooth or slightly damaged, a thumb grip is enough. It gives you grip again and protects what is underneath. Replacing is only needed if the stick itself is broken or drifts.
Will they slip off during play?
The silicone stretches over the stick head and grips the sides instead of balancing on top. With eight caps you always have spares.
Why 8 caps instead of 4?
A controller has two sticks and most people own more than one controller. Eight caps cover four controllers, or give you spares as the ones in use wear down.
How fast is delivery?
