Do thumb grips actually help your aim?
They help your grip, and that makes your aim more consistent. The textured top stops your thumb sliding off when your hands get warm, and your thumb lands in the same spot on the stick every time. They don't change your sensitivity, and they add barely any height.
Are thumb grips worth it?
For most players, yes. You get 8 caps for €8.95, enough for four controllers or for spares. They are also a cheap fix when the rubber on your sticks has worn smooth.
Do they fit an old Xbox One controller as well as a Series X|S?
Yes. They fit every Xbox One controller and the Series X|S controller, so one pack covers a mixed set of pads from both generations.
Will thumb grips fix Xbox controller drift?
No. Drift is wear inside the controller, so nothing you put on top of the stick repairs it. A thumb grip does stop the rubber wearing further. With very mild drift, Xbox Precision Rings can make the stick feel steadier around the centre, but they are not a repair either. Our article on what causes stick drift explains what does help.
Thumb grips or extenders: which do I need?
Thumb grips if your sticks feel slippery or worn and you like the stock height. Xbox FPS Extenders if you want taller sticks for finer aim. They already have their own concave anti-slip top.

Do thumb grips affect aim assist?
No. Aim assist is built into the game, not the controller. A cap changes how the stick feels, not the input it sends, so aim assist works exactly as before.
Are thumb grips allowed in ranked and tournaments?
In online play, including ranked, yes. They are passive caps that don't change what the controller sends to the console. For official tournaments, especially LAN events, always check the rulebook, because every organiser sets its own rules.
Can I use them on the Xbox Elite Series 2?
Yes. Push them over whichever stick you have fitted on the Elite, the same way as on a standard controller.
Do I need to replace my Xbox controller stick if the rubber is worn?
Not as long as the stick itself works properly. A cap replaces the smooth surface without you having to open the controller. A new stick is only worth it if it is damaged or drifts.
Can I take them off again?
Yes. They are silicone and sit over the stick without any glue, so you pull them off by hand.
How fast is delivery?
